I still write out my grocery list on a piece of paper (even though I downloaded an app on my phone that is specifically for grocery lists.) And it's not just for groceries... I embrace all sorts of lists: to-do lists, packing lists, wish lists, checklists... as long as they're written lists. There's just something oddly satisfying about writing a list and then marking those items off.
Rarely do I pay our bills on-line... I prefer to write checks and send the bills through the postal service.
And even with the calendar on my phone (which I actually do make a point of using), I still like having a yearly engagement calendar in which to write appointments and important reminders.
Is this just me? Or do you find yourself doing things the "old fashioned" way, too?

10 Nutty Buddies Have Something To Say:
Just call me old fashioned. I love having an "engagement calendar" to write in - I write appointments and notes, sometimes dreams and quotes. And I get great pleasure out of throwing away my shopping lists when I get home. It feels so good! So, I'm with you!
Yup, I have a planner too. And I also do my to-do lists and grocery lists on paper. It just FEELS like I get more done when I have things to cross off rather than delete. :P
I am just like you. NO app on my cell though. Coupons are in hand and so is the paper list.
I'm a paper person too. Love my planner! But I draw the line at paying bills in the mail. Online bill pay is so much quicker. Try it and you'll never go back.
I just can't convert to an online calendar. It drives my hubby crazy, but I need to see it written down, and do the writing for things to stick in my brain. I do pay all bills online, love that, and lists go either way for me. But I don't think I'll ever be able to convert to a kindle or nook for my book reading. Love to feel those pages in my hands.
I still prefer to write my to-do lists down on paper, and cross the things off as I do them. There's just something about writing it all out that gets it organized in my mind.
I also still really like writing letters and mailing them.
I make all my lists with a pen and paper! And I have a calendar on our fridge to keep track of events and appointments.
I have to use my planner to keep track of all my family has to do. I need to actually write it and be able to see it all.
I'm the IT person at work and I refuse to use anything but a physical day planner calendar.
I do pay all my bills online, but I'm such a list writer that I write lists too. Lists about shopping, lists about things I have to do... it's easier if I can just SEE it.
