A few weeks ago, (my partner in crime) Angie and I made our way to Atlanta to finally attend a book signing for our favorite author!
I actually have Angie to thank for introducing me to the awesomeness that is Jen Lancaster. And I'm so glad she did! (So, um... thanks, Angie!) I love Jen's wit and sense of humor... her books are literally laugh-out-loud funny.
Angie and I've tried in the past to attend a signing for Jen's books, but for reasons neither of us can remember, something kept us from attending... so when we found out Jen would be going on tour to promote her latest book, we knew we had to go!
We made it to the bookstore right at 5:00 (which was the time passes for the signing were beginning to be handed out). The signing wasn't scheduled to start until 7... so we passed the time with a yummy snack:
And the next thing we knew, it was time for Jen! After reading an excerpt from her new book and answering some questions from the audience, everyone lined up to get their books signed and pictures taken...
While we waited for our turn, Angie came up with the idea of us asking Jen to do something fun and crazy for our photo. I have no idea why, but the thought of us posing like Charlie's Angels popped into my head! We asked Jen if she would mind doing the pose and she was so cool about it.
Not the best picture... it's a bit blurry, and Angie and I were both trying to pucker our lips, but it was too hard trying not to laugh! However, I love it... the photo is a reminder of a fun and fabulous night with my bestie!

That's awesome that she posed as an Angel with you guys! I've read a few of her books, and she is SO funny. Wonder if she'll be heading to my neck of the woods.

Looks like you had a great time! I've only been to one book signing myself and it was for Janet Evanovich. She was such a rock star, but I love Jen's books too!
