My Thanksgiving wish for you...

May your stuffing be delicious,
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious,
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your thighs!

Gobble, gobble, y'all.

Fall Foliage

"Dear, dear Norland," said Elinor, "probably looks much as it always does at this time of year. The woods and walks thickly covered with dead leaves."
"Oh!" cried Marianne, "with what transporting sensations have I formerly seen them fall! How have I delighted, as I walked, to see them driven in showers about me by the wind! What feelings have they, the season, the air altogether inspired! Now there is no one to regard them. They are seen only as a nuisance, swept hastily off, and driven as much as possible from the sight."
"It is not every one," said Elinor, "who has your passion for dead leaves."

Everyone knows there was a turkey on Golgotha.

And a pilgrim shooting said turkey.

As well as a Native American picking corn.

Amen.

Pretty sure they don't teach how to make these at Le Cordon Bleu.

Remember all that Halloween chocolate my girls didn't want? I've finally figured out what to do with it.

I could make a Candy Bar-rito...

Maybe a Snickers Pie or two...

Or what's sure to be my favorite, Deep Fried Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Wrapped in Bacon...

I don't think I'll ever look at a Reese's the same way...

At the Movies

Shane and I have a date tonight and I'm giddy with anticipation.

Not just because we have a kids-free evening (thank you, Granny!), but because we're going to see this movie, which I've been waiting for since I first saw the trailer a few months ago...

You better check yourself, before you wreck yourself.

November looks to be a pretty good month for movies... there are quite a few I'd like to see:

I do love Colin Firth (just not as Mr. Darcy) and this one looks like a good story...

Hannah and Michaela are already making plans for us to see this one...

Another one that I'm excited about...

Saw the trailer for this one just the other night; Shane even thinks it looks good (or maybe he just think it's Anne Hathaway that looks good)...

This one's a given...

Which of these do you want to see? Any other upcoming movies you're looking forward to?

JACKPOT.

If I didn't know better, I'd swear Hannah and Michaela were not my kids.

Why, you ask?

Because they don't like chocolate.

Shocking, I know!

To be fair, my girls do like some chocolate. Plain M&Ms, Hershey bars and kisses... basically, they're chocolate purists. They don't want any of that "gross stuff", like peanuts, caramel or coconut, in their chocolate, thankyouverymuch.

After two nights of trick-or-treating, here's the pile of candy my girls have charitably given to me and Shane...

Come to mama!
