But there is one item on the list my husband hopes I never cross off...
75. get a tattoo
Shane just isn't a fan of tattoos and doesn't understand why I would want one. And I don't know why I want one, either... I just do.
My sister has several (six, I think)... my brother has two... heck, even my mom has one!
I used to think about what tattoo I'd get...
a butterfly? ladybug? my zodiac sign?
Whatever the design, I wanted it to mean something. I didn't want it to be just a random tattoo that I might regret one day.
My sister, Heather, said when (and if) I ever decided to get inked, she'd go with me. That made me think about the two of us getting the same tattoo... but what should we get?
After awhile, it finally came to me. I showed the design to my sister and she loved it. Here's what our matching tatts will look like...
It's the Irish word for "sister" (in a Gaelic font). It pays homage to our Irish roots as well as being something that has meaning to both Heather and I.
Now, I just need to work up the courage to go under the needle...
Your turn to join the conversation!
if you were to get a tattoo right now, what would it be?

I like your choice :) Where would you get it?
You're so good......I love that!
And would this be blazing across your chest???????
Nice, but I also wonder where you'd put it? :)
I love your idea, very unique.
I say DO IT!
I joined in on my blog today! =)
Ohhhh I LOVE IT! I don't have a sister, but I am Irish, and just had a tat done...The hubs, mine, and both my boy's zodiac signs on the bed of Irish Shamrocks. I just love it!

You can do it...it doesn't hurt...for long! =)
Can't wait to see the finished product!
My husband agrees with Shane :-) I thought about getting one for awhile, but now I'm glad that I didn't.
I love that! I can see that on your shoulder blade. HOT!
Wow I LOVE that idea!! My sisters and I have "sister" tattoos as well. ^_^
That is a cool idea.
My sister had 2 and probably getting one more soon.
I used to want one but as I grew older and had kids, I slowly changed my mind. But if I were to get one - I would get something to symbolize my daughters
I say put it on your rear! ;) lol no really where would you put it? I like it!
You know how I feel about tats...
and I can't WAIT to see yours. I love this, too...it's beautiful.
i love it.
I love this! I'm way into symbolism so I understand it. Just don't get it on your neck or wrists...hate that.
Plus, the Gaelic would make you remember Jamie every day. ;) I used to want a tattoo, a little flower on the end of my pinkey. When I think about it, I still kind of wish I would have done it when I was brave enough. Now, I no longer want it or have the guts. So no tatto for me.
I am scared of them and my friends want to get one for our 40th birthdays...YIKES!!
I am joining in your talk! Come check out what I said

That is an awesome tattoo.
I SO want a tattoo. I even know what I am going to get. I just need to get it.
We need to make this happen. My co-workers keep asking me when I'm going through with it. I feel like I've let them down or something. LOL!
