SITScation '09 was so much fun! My only regret was that the weekend went by way too fast.
Obviously, I survived flying over the big bad Rockies. I did, however, have to warn the guy sitting next to me:
"Dude, if we hit any bad turbulence or if I freak out for any reason, I will need to grab a hold of your hand."
Thankfully, the guy was a good sport about it! And luckily (for him?) it was a fairly smooth flight out to Vegas (so no, I didn't even have to grab the poor guy's hand once!)
Friday night's party was a blast... hanging out with Kat and Elena (whom I finally got to meet "in real life"!)
The three of us had fun taking pictures with Lula's camera while she was out shimmying on the dance floor...
And, yes... that is a crown on my head.
Jen, Lolli and I all share the same birthday (October 15th), which was the day before SITScation began. We like to think the Friday night party was really held in our honor.
I think we look rather regal in our "Birthday Princess" crowns, don't you?
Another highlight of my weekend was finally getting to meet Heather and Tiffany!
I wish my stay in Vegas could have been longer! I really wasn't there long enough to see much... but I did get a chance to see some of the sights.
I also went to a show with Kat and her husband, Michael. We saw Anthony Cools, who is a "naughty hypnotist". His show is uncensored, bawdy... and oh my stars, it was hilarious!
So now I've been to Vegas... and Shane has been once... maybe next time the two of us can visit Vegas together!
Have you ever been to Vegas? What's your favorite thing to do there?

I'm glad you had such a great time! A fabulous way to spend your bday, no less. And the next trip to Vegas needs to be a girls trip. Maybe we need to take "EE" on the road next year?! LOL!
Sounds like a great time!
Thanks for some cool bloggers links - I headed over to Tiffany's and introduced myself. I will check out the other the other blogs of the cool people you love so dear. Great meeting new people!
Glad you had a great time! You rock with that crown on your head!
Ack, I'm so jealous of all you Sits girls going to Vegas. I've never been but would love to. Of course, hubby has been there. The bastard.
Justine :o )
Vegas was awesome but I agree WAY to short!
And yes that party on Friday was totally for us.
Looks like a blast!!
The only time I visited Vegas was to see some Grateful Dead shows, so no gambling for me... just wandering around looking for a cheap meal...
Looks like it was fun! I'm jealous, though I'm not as active in SITS as I'd like to be.
I've been to Vegas twice and would love to go back again. Hubby and I have been trying to figure out when we can make it possible.
I have never been to Vegas nor has my hubs. But for a thrill I do look online at the amusement park rides they have on top of the tallest building there, called Stratosphere. And then I have a stomach-ache all day.
However, I have flown over the Rockies and gasped out loud over turbulence and the guy next to me was adorable and talked to me to make me feel better and he was about 25 years younger than me and it was a very nice distraction.
Sadly no, I've never been. :( {Pity party for me}
Vegas just isn't my thing. I'll take the mountains, a beach or a cruise ship any day of the week, though.
I am sad that I missed all the fun, though. I can't wait to make more memories of our own at EE!
I'm so glad you over came your fear of flying and made it to the SITscation. It looks like you all had a great time
And you wore that crown like a true blogging queen. :)
I wish I could have gone!! Maybe next year:-)
It looks like you had an awesome time!!!
And not one mention of how horrible of a friend I am that I am holding your photos hostage. Especially the one of you kissing "The Rock."
Glad you had a great time! But I have to be honest----I don't really like Las Vegas---we used to have to drive through there every time we drove from CA to Utah, where some of my relatives lived and I grew to detest it!! (the traffic is the pits!)
I have been there once. We stayed in New York, New York. We were there for a business thing for the hubs so we didn't do a whole lot other than play slots with free money and stroll the stores.
Hi Shannon,
I wish I'd gotten to hang out with you more at #SITScation. It seems to go SO fast. Next year, we definitely need to make it a 3 day weekend. But it was nice to meet you and I'll be back to visit your blog now and then.
I really wish that our weekends would have been the same. I would have loved to have met you.
Honestly, I think I'm over Vegas. I'll explain a bit more in my post, but I think two trips is plenty for me. Maybe I should have done the naughty hypnotist show. That sounded pretty funny. My favorite part was probably the Bellagio fountains-so pretty.
Glad you had fun!
Looks like you had a great time in Vegas! I love Vegas. I've been 4 times and can't wait to go back. I love to people watch in Vegas ~ it can be very entertaining. And hitting the spa for a massage - nothing beats it.
Glad you had a great time!
Very fun! Love seeing your pictures - your hair is adorable!!
Kat told me that you laughed so hard you had masscara running down your face at that hypnotist. I can only imagine!
