My oldest girl has many aspirations for when she grows up... she'd like to be a teacher, veterinarian, zookeeper, fashion designer or photographer.
Yesterday, we went out for lunch with Shane's family. While we waited for our food to arrive, I thought I'd encourage H's passion for photography by letting her use my camera and take some pictures of us.
Here is one she took of me, whilst I was stuffing my face enjoying a yummy corn muffin.
First rule of thumb: make sure your thumb (and other digits) are out of the way before snapping the picture!

Pshaw, it's ARTSY!
Ha! Too funny! It is a cool looking photo though!
LOL! I bet you're glad she screwed up for that picture!
Justine :o )
That is so funny!! Maybe she was practicing a new filtration technique, LOL!!
Maybe she was going for the softned effect and didn't have the proper lens. She was resourceful using her thumb!!! :)
I don't know....my mom's been taking "finger pictures" for about 73 years now. I think it's a trend!
I like it - it's kinda artsy.
Awww...practice makes perfect!
that is funny. she'll get it and then you will be sorry. the camera will always be on you.
I see talent...she caught the sun on your hand just right.
I don't see anything wrong with this picture. It looks like all of mine.
I had so many pictures like this. Before digital. And then I had to get them developed :-)
I like it - you have to start somewhere and ya know? it is cool looking!!
Children have their own dream. We are also. :)

I actually think it's a brilliant picture. Save it...and 40 years from now she'll wax nostalgic over it...."Awwww, look at my mom's hand!"
I'm all about the waxing of the nostalgic.
Are you sure she didn't mean to do that?!? LOL
We have a couple of albums full of shots like this. For some reason, one of my kids always had the hardest time getting a whole person in a picture. She almost always cut off the head!
And just where were those yummy corn muffins from? LOL!
but i like it! there is a first for all things great!
YOu have to start somewhere. Hold on to that just in case she becomes some famous photographer!
